What we currently have in place

Further action

Better communication regarding future plans.

We have created a working party made up of parents/carers, staff and governors in order to fully represent the community.

Reminders sent regarding important communications so these are not missed.

Ensure further reminders are sent when important communication is issued.

All parents/carers have been given the opportunity to share their views on the future proposals for the school through a comprehensive survey.

The colours and layout of the weekly newsletter is not as easy to read as before.

This has been changed to look more like the original version.

Please let school know if you feel the new format still isn’t readable!

More information about progression in art and music.

Our progression documents for all our individual subjects can be found on the school’s website.

As changes are made to our curriculum, we will make sure the website is kept up to date.

More school activities such as fun events, discos and trips.

We currently offer the following residentials each year:

  • Y4 campout
  • Y5 Peat Rigg
  • Y6 London
  • School Council trip to the Houses of Parliament

We recently held an Easter Eggstravaganza and an end of term disco.

We have attended lots of different sporting events this year. Each child will have had opportunity to have attended at least two each.

We are planning a summer fayre.

We are working with Leeming and Londonderry Community Primary School to align both schools’ long term plans so that future trips can be better planned and be more cost effective so we can incorporate more trips.

Finally, please remember you can always contact your child’s teacher or a member of the senior leadership team via the school office if you have anything you wish to discuss.
